The House of Dior Unveils World’s First Couture Christmas Tree

December 3, 2009 § Leave a comment

Leave it to the glamorous, over-the-top world of high fashion to come up with a couture Christmas Tree! John Galliano, the designer for Dior and the most creative fashion designer working today, in my opinion, created the tree. The Dior Tree is 20 feet tall and made of papier-mache, paper, and polystrene. You can find the Worlds Most Fabulous Tree in the hotel lobby of Claridges, an equally fabulous luxury hotel in London. What I love about it, besides the fact that it’s totally ridiculous, is the way it’s posing. Look at it! It’s so doing the couture pose!

In response, I think now Marc Jacobs may be tempted to do a Louis Vuitton-designed Menorah.
